I bought a new MMC and when it came time to reinsatlling bounce on the new MMC...I was prompted with a message stating that the game is already installed. I am unsure why I got this message when the game was originally installed on the old MMC?

because it is already installed according to the system. try uninstalling it on your old mmc and then reinstalling on your new one.
