Hi all,

I have tried the WorldMate but faced some problems, I have nokia 3650 firmware 2.50 Englis language. I am not able to use the update function of WorldMate. I can not update currency and weather database. After I download the update files via gprs connection I get a message that Updating db, but nothing happens.
Anyone had the same? I have tried everything even reformatted my phone and installed only this program but it is still the same.
So I think the program is not compatible with my phone.

I contacted MobiMate support and they could not help. Anyone who managed to find a workaround for the updating process through wap GPRS? I do not have an Internet connection on my phone and I do not want to subscribe for it.

You can use HTTP protocol on most service providers if you have GPRS service. You just need to set up an access point for a different protocol. This should be included in your GRPS service (at least on all providers that I have seen).

Also had problems with WAP update.

Great app all in all.. still not sure if going to buy but only one day, still thinking about it.

Do you mean to say that your GRPS service only allows you access to WAP? If so then I don't know what to do.

If you have GPRS data access then you just need to set up an access point with different settings. Get those from your provider.

Hmm - set mine for 'auto update' everyday - still waiting for todays update...
Any idea when it updates?

Nice app!

Hmm - still not auto updated?
Perhaps it is not enabled on the demo version.
I have mailed them - if I can set it to auto update in the evening then my WAP access is FREE, then I'll be definatly buying!! ;)

Drains the battery a bit thou - and it always runs in the background taking up memory... unless you 'kill' it or reboot.
