I just installed a demo of miniGPS and realised that it was a pile of pap so I wanted to remove it - I used Tools>>Application Manager and selected Minigps>> Remove. Now it';s jammed my phone and I can only switch it off. Afetr doing that and turning it back on again I get a little jigsaw icon where the program icon was and if I check app manager it tells me that it's still there (although the little black box on the right of the screen is only half full. If I then try to remove the half full app - it just freezes up on me once again.

My question is, does anyone know how to completely remove this damn thing from my phone?

Odd. Try re-installing it, then rebooting the phone, and then remove it.

Failing that, remove it as much as possible, then purge the MiniGPS folder in \system\apps\

Phew - waht a pain!!! Managed to sort it outr in the end. Tried the reinstall thing - that failed. So in the end after trying to remove the half full package I noticed that my phone was not jammed - just VERY sluggish. So I waited, and waited..... and then waited a bit more and eventually managed to get it to try removing the half package a second time - eventually (after about 5 mins) I got the successfully removed message. so I re-booted and now everything seems fine. Steer clear of thisone unless you really intend to use it!!
