so coming back, is the sx1 released as yet?????? Molna? could you answer this? I am keenly waiting for a decent review of the sx1 particularly the mp3 player....... does it have equalizers as the samsung m188. I am yet to get a better mp3 phone since that one!

Seems like it will be available in end of November / beginning of December :)

The MP3 quality is superb, I use it quite a lot. But I actually like the radio feature more and listen to radio several hours each day. And it doesn't even drain the battery so much :)

Will you be receiving a n UPDATED version before its actual release and if yes (or no) when will you be able to post some relevant information on its performance.

Also - any chance of you getting your hands on the Sendo X before its realease.

I could get 3 new firmwares for it since I got it, but since I have to send it to Siemens I've decided to wait till the final version is available (and then I'm able to write more about it).

Sendo X: sure, but still have to wait some months..

The Sendo X is released or about to be released in Italy this week.

Siemens SX1 available for beta testers. The manual is available too at www.my-siemens.com

The main condition is that after four weeks use you have to send Siemens a test report of the device and after that it's all yours. The competition starts today, 26th of November and ends on 8th of december. Make sure you participate in this competition !

I doubt it's any real testing purpose, Siemens have lots of testers already ;)
It's more like a competition to get some PR about the SX1 again :)

With this new "tester promotion" they are running at present, saying that people can get a test version before release, I guess this pushed the shop-release of the SX1 into 2004.

Well I don't know about the exact release date but finally... Vodafone GR (Greece) has add SX1 and P900 on the "Comming soon" phones. They state that they will be available both at 31/12/2003.

Now things are quite tricky to believe them. Considering that in most cases they were too late too bring new phones (eg. N-Gage, it was worldwide released at 8/11 and Vodafone made it available at 21/11 as stated at their website).

Kyna: that article is a little out-dated. The SX1 will actually become available in Germany already this week :)

That was announced by Siemens yesterday, so it's to fresh for most websites :)

I's the 9th today... so where is it?

I just spoke to Siemens who told me that the relase date has been put back until the end of January but some operators might have test models but that is not a certainty at all.

Oh well. I know I will get slated for this but I might have to go and look at an Orange SPV E200!

People in Germany can now order the SX1 from the My-Siemens webshop, which is the first ones to have the SX1 in stock. More webshops are expected to get the SX1 during this week and next week. We will keep you updated when the SX1 is available for world-wide shipping.
