View Full Version : regarding IR REMOTE FROM PSILOC zohaer21 09-12-2003, 05:13 PM the range is like only 1.5 to 2 feet... is that the case with everyone? trial version can be d/l from their site axgupta1 10-12-2003, 08:55 PM I also tested and got a range of less than a feet. These phones do not have commercial IR, it is only IrDA, which is for data transfer over very short ranges. lars 10-12-2003, 08:59 PM well i have range of 4/ 5 feet on my tv depends on the receiver of the tv you use it on zohaer21 10-12-2003, 09:31 PM so i guess they are not very usefull applicaitons! glad i found out before i bought it coz its pretty expensive for a remote application! Headhunter 11-12-2003, 01:14 PM Basicly itīs a briliant app, I think, but the short range is really bad.... :-( I got ranges around one meter... (about 3, I quess) There isnīt any possibility to boost the IR Signal, is there? sco2001 13-12-2003, 09:21 PM I could quite easily reach from one end of my classroom to the other end-about 5 meters i think, although i'm not sure. Definitely not less than that though. Such a good joke though-the teacher was going crazy when the vcr started ejecting the video , saying it wasn't her fault and she didn't press anything!Great for jokes. I don't think you'll be able to boost the signal with signal, i'd have thought you'd need a hardware update and i don't see why nokia would bother to do so. One last question, will the bluetooth remote control car by sony work on 3650 or n-gage? |
