How about the sound then? badger 18-06-2004, 08:04 PM As long as you have the sound pack installed there shouldn't be a problem. Got a 7610 today. The dodgy N-Gage games dont run on it at all!!! SgtSalsaMan 17-10-2004, 10:55 PM just installed doom on my 7610 ~mini-review~ Installation: easy, but not sure exactly what I did/supposed to do... installed all the .sis files that came in the .zip file. Installed directly to the phone memory. Graphics/framerate: great, much more impressed than I thought I would be, no noticeable lagging Controls: mediocre, difficult to manuever/strafe/fire due to the layout of the keys. Haven't been able to jump/switch weapons Sound: none, I apparently need to download additional software from Wildpalm in order to hear sounds(?) The Wildpalm site fails to mention any such support for Doom, though it mentions that you need to buy one of their programs to get sound support. Levels: 9 so far, haven't figured out what I'm sposed to do with the doom1.wad file, more levels? edit: just realized how old this thread was...... silkshadow 20-10-2004, 10:36 AM Maybe an old thread but good review! Thanks! Nyxmorph 22-10-2004, 03:14 PM To change weapon - hold down pen key and press a number button for the appropriate weapon. This can also be used to save your game as you can now enter a name for the save (enter a number as the name) :-) Cheers, Nyx. P.S. I installed one of their games which installs the sound stuff, but apparently an old version of the sound stuff is required to get sound to work in Doom which I cant find anywhere. Hmmmm. |
