It wasn't that long ago that anybody who dared post on a PocketPC Fangirl website about the joys of converged devices would be laughed to derision.
"Why would anybody want an oversized phone?" they asked and promptly called you a troll.
Yet, it would seem the truth is that none of these wanted converged devices until Microsoft told them thay they wanted converged devices. Now that Microsoft has given them a new thought to think, they have realised that having a PDA and a phone in one device is actually a good idea.
It's a very nice device that they have, but it begs one to wonder why they used the old mantra of "the 9210 is too big" when the phone that they now carry around is even more clunky (when compared to a mobile phone - which is what they did with the 9210). At least you can hold a 9200 device next to your head without leaving an earprint on the screen!
So, they finally get it. But do they really? Have they come to the realisation that convergence is a good idea, or are they just having wet dreams over new toys that will soon go flat? When they play their WMA and WMV files and realise that listening to their Neil Sedaka tracks all morning means that they can't make any more phonecalls until they recharge again, will they understand that Nokia and Symbian have actually got it right?
Will they hell!!!! Microsoft has them hook, line and stinker!
