I think I guy called k2bk2b at removed has tried it out. If I remember correctly, he had to use the BL-4C battery to fit it in. I'm not too sure.

As for me, I'm hunting a 256MB RS-MMC instead ...

Some guy tried it here in Norway. He said it works fine, and he still uses the battery that came with the phone. But, i still dont want to try.

Actually, before i even get the 7610 i was able to see a suggestion on how to use a regular MMC. Here's the link http://www.gsmarena.com/index.php3?sRedir=http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_7610-review-2.php. Kindly scroll down it should be in the middle part of the message. It states there:

How to get an ordinary MMC card into 7610
Let me add a note on the standard MMC card: Perhaps there is a way to get it into the phone. First, it is necessary to remove the SIM cardholder and to put the card straight on the contact. After partition removal - probably to file it off - the MMC card will get above the SIM and the battery will secure this "system". Surely, I can't try this technique with the test handset, but I think this might do the job.

But i never tried this method yet. However, as i am using a 6600 with 128mb MMC only, i tried to put the MMC in the 7610 using the BL-5C, you just need to tightly put everything beneath the battery. However another way is using BL-4C the slimmer type. It actually works both ways without any problem and without the need to file off the partition.

Just wanted to share this information

nah, the easiest way to do it is juz use normal mmc then put back the bl5c batt,
the batt will be poppoing up slightly.
as long as u close the back cover properly everything will be flushed...
so its possible to use normal mmc without any mods.

btw, only effect u see is mmc will be slightly bent in a long run, it wont crack or spoil it though... juz a slight 10degree bend....
