I was wondering. Is there a MSN Messenger app for the 9500 (or Series 80 for that matter). That would be very cool, since it has WLAN and a keyboard!

Ismail 29-08-2004, 07:26 PM even if there isnt one by the time 9500 will be released there will be one created Ewan 29-08-2004, 08:56 PM Given teh 9500 has a MIDP1 Client, you should be able to use TipicME asa Jabber Client gateway to MSN Messenger Ismail 30-08-2004, 11:15 AM what he said :con? :con? Delta737 05-09-2004, 06:22 AM Got one more question about this topic. What happens to the apps you have running on your 9500 once you close the flip? Do they close or do they keep running. I ask this because I would like to have MSN running also when the flip is closed, and preferably giving me a sound-notification when someone decides to have a chat with me... awyeah 07-09-2004, 05:49 AM Blah, talking about software. I have this mp3 player MP32GO something it also has a same WAV player. This one is really crap it hangs ups alot, doesn't read all mp3 formats, suppose lower than 128kb or sometimes higher. Does anyone have a good recommendation for playing MP3's? any good software? Suppose if can I set MP3's ringtones even? Is it possible?! :con? Ismail 07-09-2004, 09:45 AM i dont think the apps get closed it would be the same as the old one aZooZa 08-09-2004, 11:36 AM I know of at least one MSN IM app in development for the new commies. It's likely though that IM will not work when the case is closed. Delta737 08-09-2004, 12:24 PM I know of at least one MSN IM app in development for the new commies. It's likely though that IM will not work when the case is closed. Really? That would be a shame. That would make the IM app of virtually no use for me :( trap4 22-09-2004, 01:04 PM Really? That would be a shame. That would make the IM app of virtually no use for me :( Absolutely. I currently have a Nokia 3650 and am intending to upgrade to a 9500 if and only if there is an excellent IM client (eg. Agile Messenger) available. In fact I hope Agile are going to make their Messenger Series 80 compatible. If the IM client won't work while the clamshell is closed it will be uselesss IMHO. -Jim. |
