ok i have route 66 on a 256mb rs mmc
if i go to extras then memory on my nokia 7610 it states
i have
capacity 245mb
used 158 mb
free 87mb

the used is taken up by route 66 software (original)
can i install other apps onto the mmc card without runining route 66 ?
also
how can i make a back up copy of the route 66 incase the card gets corupt ?

You can make a backup by using PC Suite (http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite) or a PC-based MMC reader device.
