I've just downloaded a sis theme file to a pc I have no Nokia PC Suite installed on.

Is there any way to get the sis file onto my phone and install it without the PC suite? I have a memory card reader if that helps.

Thanks

James

Yes put the sis file in the root of E(MMC), get a file manager to browse over to the file and run the sis file.

Yea, I do it all the time - if u have bluetooth you can just right click on the sis file and do send to this device. It will copy, appear in the phones inbox as a new message and when you open the message it will install. This way works completely without Nokia Suite.

If you want to pop the memory card in the card reader for yours, just copy the sis file onto the card. Ooooh, actually I would then use FExplorer which I have already installed on the phone to browse to where I put the sis file and then run it and it will install. But, if you dont have this, gallery will not view sis files I dont think, so this could be a tricky little catch 22 - you need to get FExplorer on there to run installs :-) Hhmmm.

I suppose it might be possible to swap your message inbox to use memory -> MMC card ... then you could use the card reader to put it into one of the mail directories (somewhere!!!!) and then it would appear as a message in your inbox, but I dunno which directory you would have to put it in.

Hope this helps and gets you started!

Cheers,
Nyx.
