just started using 7610, great phone. Caller ID on incoming calls only shows phone number, not name as listed and entered in contacts - am I missing something here? ;)

Happens to me only if I have the same number in Contacts more than once.

You can use the Lookup app to list contacts by number:

that might be the problem, I have more than phone # (home,work etc) for many contacts

There are no settings for such behaviour. And it works fine on my 7610. ;)

All I can think of, is that there still is a duplicate number somewhere (check also for numbers in international format vs. not; they'd be counted as the same number, I think).

Do peoples names appear when you call them?

Do you any of you guys use FS Caller instead? Just curious ...

when the person is calling you....does the number on display match IDENTICALLY to the number in your contacts list....i had the same problem untill i realized all incoming calls have a 1 in front of the area code.......

It should. For example, I name a contact "Kate Jackson". When she calls me ... the name is displayed as "Jackson Kate" ... flashing and vibrating ...

I think i had the same problem when i first got my fone but from what i remember i had to copy the contacts from my sim into my fone memory then it was fine.
