Hi, something that looks all but good just happened to my 3650 and I was wondering if anyone could possibily tell me what can be done.

My little soon-to-be strangled cousin probably tinkered too much with my Fexplorer, and now when I turn on the thing there's no wallpaper jpg, the language is English instead of my own and nothing will work, not even the menu button. Nothing. Blank. When I try to keep the menu button pressed, like when you want to know how many applications are running, the box is white, and if I select it, the phone reboots itself and I'm back to square one.

The little barbarian recalls he was in C:, nothing else. That's bad news, isn't it?

Please help me before I let loose on this *teeth gritting* lovely kid!

EDIT: I tried the *#7370# code but the menu still doesn't show up, am I in for trouble then? I have a fresh backup on the MMC, but how can I reach it without accessing the menu?

You can start the phone in safe mode, then restore the backup from the MMC.
To start the phone in safe mode, do the following -
1) Press and hold the pencil key
2) Switch on the phone while still pressing the pencil key.
Now, if the phone works, restore your backup on the MMC. If your cousin has messed up with Drive Z: (the ROM of the phone), starting the phone in safe mode all the time isn't really a good solution. You could reflash the phone otherwise.

It worked. The small critter thanks you for saving his life, and I do too for not forcing me to manually copy all of my contacts into the phone again. Thanks!

Very minor problem now though, the fast calling option (e.g. keeping pressed keypad 3 for person x 5 for person y ecc.) doesn't work anymore, says system error. Oh well, it's a minor hassle anyway, and I could flash it the hard way anyway now. Thanks again.

Hi.........Sorry for not registering or anything i'm just searching for a solution to my BIG phone problem.....


Mainly i tried downloading a camcoder for my 3650 and it said installing......and was doing that for like 15-20 minutes...and finally blocked the phone.....i tried restarting it but it said and quote: "Phone start-up failed. Contact the retailer."
