I bought my phone second-hand, and instead of getting the nice handshake logo I get a message coming up with swear words followed by a flag. I messed around and managed to get rid of the flag. But I can't get rid of the text that flashes up.

I tried to restore to factory settings but it asked for a 'security code' I don't know anything about a security code.

Is this the right forum? I couldn't find a forum for my model of phone. I saw forums for more modern ones, I didn't know which forum to post to.

The default lock code for Nokia phones is 12345. If that doesn't help, take it to the nearest Nokia authorized service center. You can start looking for one here: http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,42096,00.html

Also, the "Miscellaneous" forum would've been best for your question, because the phone you have is not Series 60 or even Symbian OS based.
