How to setup transparent looks like logo (http://www.symbian-freak.com/tunning/oplogo.htm) Here it is, the last and the most complex part. If you read previous parts carefully, than you probably already know that I will try to explain how to create a transparent logo on a simple and the most easier way, in great, but also very difficult tool for newbies who don’t have any experience in raster graphic editors. I'm talking about Photo Shop of course, the best available raster graphic editor. Also, I will describe basic actions with MBM wizard and manipulation with multiple MBM file. So, if you are a brave man, if you aren't afraid of PS and raster graphic and you want to know how to make/set-up the op logo to fit theme background like on images above and avoid **** ugly non-transparent Op Logos keep reading th... This is all well and good till you change your theme and your left with a logo for the previous theme. This would mean that you'd have to make custom themes for every single theme you want. So the bottom line I'm guessing is that you can't do it in the current versions of the symbian software. I'd have thought that they'd have changed that by now. Like I say, I could do this on my old 6100. I wonder if future versions of the symbian software will let you use .gifs as logos? No it just creates a clear logo with no txt or pic in it! No it just creates a clear logo with no txt or pic in it! fannypad 23-03-2005, 03:06 AM I'm sure there must be a way of creating a masked bitmap operator logo (with transparency defined by a mask, as with app icons and theme elements etc), but I can't be arsed to find out how. Come on Apocalypso! ;) garyparson 23-03-2005, 04:06 PM No it just creates a clear logo with no txt or pic in it! I know. My original question (if anyone wants to read it correctly) says 'transparent'. This means 'see through' as in if I put my custom graphic in that 97x25 space then the background of the logo will be 'transparent' and not a white block round the logo. What you guys are refering to is 'no logo whatsoever' and a 'blank' logo. NOT transparent. I hope that this makes what I'm after 'crystal clear'. Sorry to be blunt but it gets really annoying when you ask for help on a subject and get useless answers on a different matter. As I said in my last post I'm guessing this cannot be done for some reason. I thought that the current symbian software would have sorted this out by now! So u want a logo that u cant see? I.E. Clear! So u can c ur theme thru the logo! Folow my steps i posted and it works but u cant add txt to the clear logo, but atleast u wnt have a pic/txt/white box in the way of ur theme! garyparson 23-03-2005, 06:21 PM NOT CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT BLANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TRANSPARENT!!!!!!!!!!!! The logo is solid, the background is transparent so you can see through it. I also want to be able to put different themes on and for the logo to work with any one I use. As I've said at least once before, I can already make a logo to fit a particular theme but this falls on it's arse as soon as you put another theme on. |
