I just bought a brand new 512MB rs-mmc card, I don't know why I decided to format it before putting it to use :frown: anyway, the phone locked during formatting and I had to remove the battery to reboot it.
Now it says that the MMC is corrupted and asks to format it, but then it freezes again (I've left it working for one night, but no way).

Any suggestions?

I had the same problem before, use card reader and format it with PC under FAT and U're done.

I bought a card reader and did it, it worked like a charm. Anyway this is a firmware bug... hope that nokia fixes it soon :hmpf:
