Hi! (i'm from hungary, so at first sorry for my english)

I'm new here. I read all of treads about this strange beep sound. I wrote to nokia and that is what they wrote for me (i try to translate it... :)

"dear xxx..

This is a new function is 3230, what is made for protect the customers hearing. When the phone ring with maximal volume this is beep protect the users. We don't planing to make this feauture changeable.
"

I asked when they are planing to publish the new firmware, but thay sad this is a proceted information... :(

Anybody knows a solution for this annoying "feature"?

No solution has been found so far at all.

But did the nokia people say in the email that this beeping feature will be changed in the new firmware, or atleast will be optional?

No they sed: "we will forwad this requirement to the developers". I think it means: "thanks for ask but go to hell..."
