View Full Version : N70 & TomTom Navigator
gadget_sa 12-10-2005, 12:20 PM Hi there, does anyone know if this phone can run TomTom navigator.
I've read that the N70 is an upgraded version of the 6680 and I know the 6680 runs it ok.
They are both Symbian 60UI but this one is series 8.1a, where as the 6680 is series 8.0a.
Hope someone can help with this as I'm due an upgrade next week and would prefer this to the 6680.
Thanks
Steve

felga 07-10-2006, 11:41 PM Hi
Does anyone had that problem with N70 and tomtom mobile 5.0, it works and everything is ok, but as soon as i exit the application all recent routes and everything I add to favorites is gone :/
I don`t know what to do, my friend has a 6680 and It works fine in his mobile.
Is it a phone fault (it`s still under warranty so i can replace it) or it`s software problem ?
Please help, it makes me mad when i have to add home location everytime i`m getting ito car :/
Andy
Is not an N70 problem. I know one that works without any problem. Try a new installation... maybe it works.
Liquid_Li0n 08-10-2006, 01:10 PM Does anyone know when the TomTom 6.0 will be released for N70?

solfer 11-10-2006, 09:07 PM Can someone answer some really dumb questions & help me out here?
I've used a GPS system integrated into a PDA before, so I get how it works...
I've only ever used my mobile for making calls, sms & pics/video, with the occasional wap call, so I'm not clued up on connectivity...
I've got TomTom 5.2 ready to install on a N70. Once I have, I wasn't sure how it works from there. Will I incur charges from my mobile network operator for the time spent connected to the GPS with TomTom?
TIA
ratza 12-10-2006, 04:40 AM Fortunately the network operator has nothing to do with GPS so you won't be charged. Your battery will need it ;)
