I think this may be an "Orange" problem, I hear they have loaded their own firmwares into this phone.

I have a 6630 on "3" it works perfectly all the time, after 3 months use it hasn't had any problems at all.

i have my 6630 for almost a year and has no problem 'til now in Vodafone Portugal...

maybe a problem with the operator or a production defect....

It's a network locked I guess.

What is "nah" anyway? Sorry for my bad English. So the problem because of the SIM card or network locked?

and as for the orange screen, yes your phone is locked to orange, and uses the orange software. only way is to disable that screen is to flash your phone with generic nokia software

the biggest problem with the nokia 6630's sold on the orange website at present is they have the orange homescreen and orange firmware 5.03.08 same as current generic. this means it cannot be flashed to generic only updated to the next one. the only version above is t-mobile.

you cant do the upgrade yourself, you have to take it to a nokia service centre.
