If antivirus, it will be here (http://www.symbian-freak.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1626). slitchfield 24-02-2006, 12:51 PM I don't know which's virus soft running good on 6680, please help me! Just a bunch of malware utilities that have to be manually accepted in triplicate. With PCs running Windows, viruses used to be able to install themselves and spread totally silently. How on earth is that the same? Please have some respect. Steve Litchfield themafia.69 25-02-2006, 08:30 AM no i am not, viruses dont install themselves, they need to be executed, so you are wrong. you could have a virus, on your desktop but as long as it hasnt been executed you cant get infected with it, same on the symbian operating system, it just takes a bit more time than a computer virus to install its self, and dont tell me theres no virus for symbian, because there are many that make phone calls, multimedia msgs and msgs, and also destroy the menu, dont talk when you dont know what ur talking about slitchfield 25-02-2006, 09:03 AM no i am not, viruses dont install themselves, they need to be executed, so you are wrong. you could have a virus, on your desktop but as long as it hasnt been executed you cant get infected with it, same on the symbian operating system, it just takes a bit more time than a computer virus to install its self, and dont tell me theres no virus for symbian, because there are many that make phone calls, multimedia msgs and msgs, and also destroy the menu, dont talk when you dont know what ur talking about This is my last post on this, because you're completely mistaken. There are hundreds of Windows 'worms' that can install themselves silently, over a TCP/IP port, without any user interaction. And it's completely IMPOSSIBLE for a Symbian OS application to do the same. End of thread. Steve |
