Hi , i've been thinking about formating my 9210 but i'd hate losing all my sms (1000+) , can i just copy the mail folder on my HD , format and then just put it back ?

There are certain files you need to backup then put back, but as long as you replace the correct files there will be no problem. I can't list them offhand as I don't remember them now.

If you want to format only the 9210 -not the phone. go to Messaging-Menu-Tools-Message Storage-(Shft+Ctrl+X)...Memory--Memory in Use-128MMC

according to the file association guide in the support section ,it lists some files to back up so i'll try that out as i want to do a full formal
