I didnt know i had to go and install all the relevant data again for Virgin,
like mms settings and gprs ?
When i updated the version the operator logo changed from Virgin to T0mobile and thats all wrong apparently as the Virgin operator told me??
is this true?

Virgin runs ON T-Mobile...
What Virgin do to their handsets is edit the software on the phone to say "Virgin" instead of "T-Mobile" because it's hard for a phone to distinguish the two...
Unless you can get a Virgin operator logo, it'll have to just say T-Mobile for now...

OH! Yeah, T-Mobile's and Virgin's settings are different.
If the phone set them Automatically, then it thinks, like I said, that the SIM is actually on T-Mobile when it isn't...
If you set them, you done it wrong ;)
Either way, Virgin's site will send the settings to the phone OTA.

had to do it all over the phone for both the mms and the gprs im afraid, they dont have the settings on the website yet as its a new phone.
They can send a text to your phone with other phones but apparent,y not with the N73 yet

It clearly states when you update the firmware on your phone that ALL settings will be lost. This shouldn't be a surprise to you.
Also, why not use the configuration wizard in the phone to restore the settings? It's there in the Tools menu!
