Hi all,

New to the forums, have had a read around but not sure ive found anything on this, appologies if its been discussed before.

Ive had my N73 since Spetember, really impressed with the phone appart from in the last few weeks or so.

It seems that it randomly rings with the Nokia tone, rather than the mp3 i have set. I havent dropped the phone, and i have even saved the mp3 from the memory card to the phones memory, in case there was a problem with reading the mp3 from there.

Setting the tone again seems to work 1st time, but after a short while it goes back to the Nokia tone again.

Has anyone else had this problem before, and if so, is there anything that can be done?

Any help appreciated.

Had this problem with my old 6230i. Moving the ringtone from memory card to phone memory solved it. Is your ringtone on the memory card?

It started there yeah, i copied it to the phones memory, but the problem continued. I then deleted the copy of the tone that was on the mem card in case the phone was still reading it from there. Its now only on the phones memory, but it still happens :con?

Nope, even when the phone hasnt been used for ages, just automatically rings the nokia one - seems to be getting worse too!

had that same problem Matt, but when i've updated to the latest firmware it didnt happen anymore.... it rings with the tone i have set.. try updating ur firmware

Yeah from other bits and pieces ive read i think ill do that.

Did you do it off the Nokia site? Ive never upgraded firmware before...

So now the phone sometimes doesnt even ring the Nokia ring tone, or vibrate!

Had a missed call just now, and the phone didnt do anything!

Have tired upgrading the firmware but it told me there were no updates available....
