I'm confused, a relatively common event with me with series 6.0 phone.

I know that for ages you couldn't update t-mobile e61 as it said that no new version was available for this branded phone. But last night nokia software update said v2 was available as an update. So the wizard downloaded 44M file and updated phone. All went well, it said it was successful and phone restarted etc. But *#0000# still says v1 etc dated 16.04.06.

What is going on?

Have you tried to go through the update process again? What does nokia software updater tell you your firmware revision is when you load it up?

Tried twice. 2nd time still said my phone was v1. and v2 was available as update.

Ok. Forget all that. 3rd time (& 4th) running updater prog says that my version of E61 is v1.06 etc and no update is available. Have they pulled it or is it like the new combined internet & local search where the website said it was available a week before the download actually worked.
