any other way to format the phone if the main menu isnt working?

*#7370# on standby screen, as if you want to call someone. After pressing tle last # you'll be prompted to choose if you want to restore the initial settings. If you choose 'Yes' you'll be asked for security code. Enter it and wait until formatting finishes.

Just enter *#7780# the way ratza said. I should do well without lot of trouble.:icon14:

you know what is happened yesterday,i am tryin to get rid this nokia 3230,of my phone by tried and i did,dropped this phone by a purpose..i was thinking it will damaged so that,the company that im working will give me new phone and they will take these damaged phone by repaired..But unfortunately,this phone really good..i just dropped it..and now,it is really good as the new systems again.i can open any files and the most important things is the Main Menu..Man, this is for real.!! Ha ha.. Never believe it will work out.

Again: format the MMC too after backing up the data through a card reader to be sure that the MMC will work properly in the future. Formatting should be made inside the phone and not through the card reader.

You don't need to press the switch on button, it will turn on automatically when you press the combination....:cool:
