But anyway, the reason why I posted something here is because I wanted to ask if upgrading this phone's software can make it go a lot faster???

My Dad had this phone for 6 months before he gave it to me and it was doing pretty much okay but then a month ago, it became really slow... I know this phone has a reputation of being slow but it's kinda irritating for me since I'm used to having really fast phones like 3250...

I wanted to buy a new one but S60 phones here in the Philippines is sort of expensive so I would really like to stick with this one as long as I can. So, if somebody can tell me if upgrading it would make it a lot faster, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Unfortunately you have to go to Nokia service center to do the update for this phone but you might wanna check first before you do anything else. The reason why your phone is getting slower is because some applications are still open running on the background what you need to do is in your home screen press the MENU button for 2secs and then you will see the apps that are open on the left hand corner of the screen just select the app you wish to close and press C button to close the application. it should be the phone app is open since you cant close this anyways coz the phone is running. Its like a computer when you open a lot window apps it makes the computer to run slower. if the phone still run slow do a hard reset but make sure you back your phone first. to do a hard reset type in *#7370#.

Anyway, already tried the hard reset thing and unfortunately, it's still slow... I think I'm gonna go inquire on that software upgrading thing, if it'll help... thanks though... :icon14:

Ok well let me know if you get lucky getting your phone updated, from my knowledge only nokia service center can only update N3230 I myself have the phone but i have to send my phone there just to get updated. Goodluck!
