My screen turns black as I open the lid~ it remains the same after I put off and on the battery! Anyone knows where the startup files or documents loacte in the System? As far as I know, system/Apps/startup/startup and Documents/Start here! these 2 files concerning the startup of the machine?
Any one knows? Thanks..coz, I am not willing to format the MMC that contains all my important info.

Hae you tried Ctrl-Shift-I during boot. It deletes the ini files, that might solve your problem.
