The product code you used is for Euro1 Sand, referring to the sandy colour of your phone's back. I suspect you have the exact same phone as me, which is Plum in colour. It uses a different code but actually there's no difference at all...

Changing the code back means that if it dies later on in life (gets hacked, dropped in your pint, the slider snaps off etc) and has to go back to orange they will plug it in to see what's wrong with it and be able to see what code it is. Obviously if it's been put back to the orange code it'll all be fine, whereas leaving it generic could be seen as invalidating your warranty. I've actually been through this with my n70; I worried they'd tell me to pay for the replacement but in fact they just replaced the phone immediately - didn't even ask what was wrong with it! Changing back to the code under your battery covers your ass though :)

OK, yes, well in that case I do have the plumb. For future reference, what is the correct code for the plumb phone?

I'm really sorry, but that's just great stuff, right there.

Lol! ;) Check the sticky thread entitled "N95 product codes" here: It has all of the numbers you could ever want. I use them for the lottery, randomly guessing speed limits where there's no signs and answering questions I don't know the answer to.

My next phone??
Interesting read guys, I am still making up my mind what to buy next after my Nokia 9500 Communicator, not to sure about the new E90, almost double the price of the N95 and what does it have what the N95 doesn't have except the keyboard! Nothing as far as I can see really. The 9500 is as heavy and as big as a brick as well, so lets hear the opinions of you experts guys........ bring it on!!

The best person that can answer this!

The N95 for me would be a bit pointless (I have a 6110 navigator), go by what you need and prefer. My reasoning, I really want GPS inbuilt, I want better battery life than the N95, I want it more sturdy, I want symbian 603rd edition. I dont need wifi, and a 5MP would be nice, but not essential.

For example, would you really miss a keyboard? Most people have strong opinions on this, whichever they prefer.

Do you need a 5MP camera, or would less do?

Do you need GPS, or would any bluetooth phone with an external reciever do?

Do you need Wifi?

Its best to make a list of what you really want from a phone, then bring up the 'would be nice' things.

And then, when you have that, you can ask people about the various things, and get much better input. :)

Good luck with your project. By the way, the newest software update for the n95 is version 12 witch among other things has AGPS. It is a real improvement for the GPS and maps.
