The problem is that you can disagree with Samir's software distribution strategy 'till the cows come home, but that doesn't give you the rights to subvert it. He doesn't owe anyone anything - even if...

I wondered what happened to the i-mate Ultimate 7150.. just didn't come out? I remember thinking that I'd like one for my next phone, ages ago when I was using Windows Mobile.

By default the N95 8GB's sensor (accelerometer) doesn't do much - when you take (not view) a photo it will auto-rotate the file it produces, but not much else. However, the forthcoming RotateMe...

I couldn't think of any reason the BL-6F wouldn't be safe to use - it's a 3.7V battery like the BL-5F, it just has more capacity. It just doesn't fit very well.

The 8GB is pretty much the same technology level as the N95-1 - they have all the same core logic. Since the RAM issue has been much improved with V20, the 8GB's remaining benefits are slightly...

Just to note, you can do this on the N95-1 too. The phone is really designed for Normal, though, and at Large some menu items are truncated (like 'Personalisation' to 'Personalisati...').

I think it's as design that it doesn't close Contacts (Symbian OS, being multitasking, shouldn't close things without cause) but I can see your point. One possibility would be to just press the green...
