YouTube Mobile hits v2.4, gets account support

The YouTube Mobile client for S60 has gone through more versions than I've had flavours of ice cream recently, but at last the one we've all been waiting for has appeared. Version 2.4 has full support for YouTube favourites, plus search suggestions and a revamped layout on S60 5th Edition phones like the Nokia 5800.

Read on in the full article.

If you grab the 5800 version and install it on the n97 mini, it works. Seems nice.

Awesome news!
Now enjoy watching the videos on that ridiculous 2'8 QVGA screen.

Why dont you watch it on your computer monitor? Or just use your TV cable.

When you consider that the quality of the videos is generally pretty dire (unless they've changed the stream bitrate), a 2.8" screen would be fine.

It's all irrelevant because of the downright unwatchable quality. You need to pony up for coreplayer if you want to enjoy youtube on s60. But 30$ is alot for youtube.

Goto m.google.co.uk on your browser and you can download the sis/sisx from there. I hope they have made the sizes better for S60 5th - clearing search histroy or viewing t&c etc. is awful atm, you have to use a nail or stylus to hit them!
