When I played with a prototype Nokia N95 at the Nokia Store NY, I noticed that when taking pictures and video in horizontal mode and then switch to vertical, the sensor automatically switched. Rafe: Is that the case with the N95 you received?

A quick question about the GPS maps; is it possible to add or download custom Points of Interest; one which springs immediately to mind is speed camera locations...

I have learn much from this thread. I have been using PDA all this while . My question is how is it compare to using Office application with window mobile. Editing words or excel is very easy with the stylus. Does N95 allow using stylus for editing or juz by using keypad.

N95 does not have a touchscreen, so no stylus...

Not exactly. A notebook is not also touch screen, and is easy work well with Excel or Word. Because they have a mouse, like N95, also have a mouse - joystick.

maybe need sometime to get use to it. Been using PDA for sometime , using spreadsheet is a breeze. Probably i will take a look at the phone and play around the features first.

Does the N95 have continuous AF on shooting videos like the production models of the N93i have? Or is this something we will have to wait for the production versions of the N95 to see if it has this feature.

Can you put the mp3-files anywhere on the phone,
or does it have to be a specific folder?

Does the mp3 playback use a lot of batterypower,
can you do a test with continious mp3 playback?

Can I install the map of Germany on the memory card from the CD or download them from the internet and keep them on my memory card? I ask because data rates are much cheaper in the home network than when roaming, if I plan a trip to Germany, I want to install the maps before I go there..

You can download the maps from www.smart2go.com for free, using Nokia's map dowloader from the site. I'm sorry there's no version for S60 2nd edition, I would've used the maps in offline mode.

Are there any TTS apps that can be installed to use it with the N95 gps to give text to speech capabilities for saying street names?

Also I think they should give voice instructions for free, because if you pay for service, it makes more sense to buy a gps device that cost 200 dollars for life.
