Details of the Nokia GPS Module LAM-1 for 92x0

Details of the Nokia GPS Module (LAM-1) for the Nokia 9210, 9290 and 9210i have been uploaded to the Nokia website.

- Over 100,000 cities and villages across Europe
- Road maps for all major European countries
- 12 channel GPS tracking for accuracy and acquisition, quick start up
- Low power consumption - idle mode, sleep mode
- Integrated GPS antenna
- Compatible with Mobile Location Services (MLS) applications
- TomTom City Maps and Route Planner location applications
- External GPS antenna with approx. 3m cable

The GPS unit will be sold with Tom Tom's CityMaps and RoutePlanner. A carrying case is also included in the sales package. TomTom RoutePlanner covers both Western and Eastern Europe. TomTom CityMaps cover more than 100,000 cities in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Power consumption of the GPS Module is 50 mA in active mode and 1 mA when idle. In practice, GPS can be used in tracking mode with full display brightness for more than 5 hours without additional charging.
