Nokia E65 or E51, which is better ?
Hi Friends,
Iam using Nokia6288 now. I would like to change this to Nokia E65 or E51
soon.
Which one is preferebaly good. Both have WLan and I prefer to use Wifi and office programs, email.
When I compare both, most features are same. E65 have no Radio and it is Slide model same like my 6288. E51 is looking nice with new key pad all very slim but little long. Weight 15g more for E65.
Any body can help me to find out which one is more suitable and stable, hassle free.
Thanks & regards,

I have had both phones, and hardware wise, the E51 is far superior, especially if you use email and multiple S60 apps. Form factor wise, the E65 is better in that the phone locks when you close the slider. Given a choice, go for the E51 or wait for the E66.

Skype (via (Fring) and Gizmo work fine. The voip on Yahoo and MSN, I have not seen any clients which would allow it.
But on th E51, compared to the E65, the processor seems to be a lot quicker.

I bought a E51 recently, a few weeks after a colleague of mine did buy the E65.
E51 is superior to E65 in almost every domain. E65 has no Feature Pack 1. E51 has more memory and supports demand paging (like N95). E65 has regular slowdowns when you navigate in the system, E51 is faster.
You won't find any review on the web that will say E65 is better than E51.

Hi Diomonji,
Thanks for your reviews..
I also own one Nokia E51 recently.
It is very slim & Cute Phone than E 65.
More internal memory and FP1 gives more powerfull on Net connection.
Wlan and Fring working on perfectly, but SIP profiles have some problem.
best regards,

Definitely go for the E51 - Feature Pack 1, much better browser, 3.5G, better keypad layout, form factor. Enjoy!

i've been comparing mobiles and have read countless of reviews before i finally bought my e51. it's just superb - performance, sleek, efficient, etc... the processor is also very fast despite the cargo i have installed in it. i love this e51. go for it!

Hi,
I am also planning to buy E51. For calls over yahoo and MSN, doesn't fring supports all that? http://www.fring.com/fring_is/what_is_fring/
Is the voice quality over SIP and WIFI good? If compared with a a laptop?

I also have a E51 and like it. Fast, plenty of RAM, very slim. If you like the form factor in general, you cant go wrong with the E51

Whilst I can't compare to the E65, my only real gripe with the E51 is the size of the screen. My 3 year old iMate SP5 has a bigger screen =(

Sure, this is the reason why I have an eye on the E71 or N95/96

i had my E51 last may
and dropped it a couple of times
but it's very sturdy
my son also threw it [about 4feet] when we were wrestling
as if nothing happened
go for e51!
