Highlighting Nokia's great phone switching

One area which is often overlooked but in which Nokia has been steadily improving our smartphone lives is the 'Switch' application (a.k.a. Data Transfer), ostensibly letting us transfer all our 'stuff' from one S60 phone to another. Vaibhav has been documenting Switch's use in keeping two smartphones in sync and has been relishing all the options and control. Worth reading if you're about to switch or if you have two devices (husband and wife?)

Have to admit when upgrading from my 9500 to my E90 I thought this was great. Matter of minutes with the bluetooth and my contacts/calendar/etc all copied over. Whereas my wife going from an SE W950i to a W960 is there tapping the contacts in manually, couldn't believe if can't just simply talk to the old one over bluetooth and copy the relevant data off of it.
Millennia in the future, the Earth is now a dead world and man has colonised the galaxy.
Now the galaxy is about to discover that man is not alone...
A weekly science fiction serial by me, written on a 9500/E90.

When I bought the E90 I kept my "old" N73 for the weekend and for the bike ride (with GPS and Sports Tracker is great).

I keep both phone sync and with the same information, and it is very useful.

Lightbulb Long possible for Mac users...

...provided the phone itself is supported by iSync.
Switching from my 6230 to an E61 last year was a breeze and done within two minutes as well, but yet this is also possible using other brands/ platforms.
The 6230 was replaced with a Motorola RAZR v3 for instance, later by a Samsung E250 (Modified D900 profile). Syncing these three devices simultaneously over Bluetooth has never been a problem either.
Details about supported phones here:
