Ugh there's too many Asian countries with all their different beliefs and superstitions to do a thread like that.... We'll overload the forum I'm sure. As and aside, numbering years seems much easier than naming them, must get damn confusing with names.

What if no one gets the chance to be gentle, friendly and kind?
Rename the year?
Then,a new issue was born? How should we call the year when no one will be gentle, friendly and kind?

A Waffle?

Well, Japanese calendar and chinese (or we called the lunar) calendar is no much difference. If you know ancient history... China first then Japan...

I do understand Japanese too as I studied the language for 5 years. The translation is correct, urging all manking to be gentle and kind.

Yes, there are many different spoken and written languages around the world not only Asia. This goes with the culture and beliefs from the different continents. Even within Chinese ethnics, there are different beliefs and practises.... Plus within the same spoken native language (or dialect), there are differences to denote the status of groups (or tribes, villages, etc.) This is complicated and that was during the old days when my late great great grandparents lived.
