Help! I:m travelling and my phone got slighty wet. still works fine but some buttons carry out the wrong function (eg number 2 types 4 letters, one being p and the camera button starts the music player)
It:s very strange and it has been like it for two days. is this software or hardware issue? im in japan at the moment and need my phone for everything so any advice welcome!!
A few years ago I was carrying my 9210 in a plastic bag with some other stuff like a bottle of SPA (water) . The bag didn't leak , but the bottle wasn't closed tight enough . After some time I wanted to use the phone and I found it completely drowned in the bag . No working at all . I took out the battery , and after about one week drying in the sun (summertime) it was working again .
Advise : take out battery and dry the device , maybe you can use a hairdryer ? Regards jApi NL
I still have the phone and the most intriguing thing is that the problem is intermittent.
Sometimes number 2 doesn't work [along with *, gallery and camera and top right menu button] and sometimes it all works perfectly.
This suggests to me that the problem is 100% hardware and most likely a connection problem, possibly caused by corrosion or mineral deposits - making cleaning it the best option.
With this in mind, does anyone know where I might find expertise in this area. Where do all keypad functions input into the phone?
