I have a Nokia 9300 and tried to switch out my sim card from my Windows WM6 device to my Nokia 9300 to see if the 9300 would work with my sym card from the same carrier. It not only didn't work but now when I turn or try to turn my 9300 nothing happens. On phone screen is stays lit up but blank and the opened screen Nokia welcome comes up and it goes in the startup mode with the line going across the screen to get it going. After that I just ge a blank screen as it used to have all my Icons of my programs on it regardless of what sim card or no sim card in it. Now it is all blank.
Any thoughts please???? Also I forgot how to do a hard reset if you could please send me that info as well please and I will try that.
I think you've meant format. Anyway I've had before a 9500 and did formats a couple of time. AFAIK you have to remove battery, then put back again, switch on the phone, open the communicator, and when it shows you the NOKIA logo keep pressed ctrl+shift+F. Then it should ask you if you really want to format or not.
Hope I've remembered correctly.

I meant reboot and in the Psion terms we used to call it a hard reset. I am sure format is the same thing. I appreciate your info as I forgot how to get there. I did it and it stays the same. I formatted but when it comes on it is just a blank screen in both screens being blank. I am not sure, but I think I might have to send it back to Nokia for repair. This is my second 9300 this had happened too. I am really, really very careful with my devices. There isn't even a mark on it, it looks brand new. Its was a replacement reconditioned model a couple years ago. I will send it in if I can't find any thing else to do with it and see how much the repair will cost. The only think I did was put in a sim card from my other phone which happens to be a WM6 phone but that shouldn't make any difference in the workin of the phone. I used it that day for a phone call and it must have just quit.
