A two part podcast. Rafe and Ewan round up the week news in the first half. The second half was recorded at the recent #NokiaNav event.
In Insight 117, Rafe and Steve talk over the latest industry Q1 2010 figures and other news items, including the newly-arrived Nokia 6700 slide, Own Voice for Ovi Maps release, the new Qt SDK releases, Ovi Store adverts, Microsoft Communicator for Mobile and we cover the plethora of App Wizard widgets, including ones for All About Symbian and The Phones Show.
The Nokia 6700 slide (also known as the 6700s) is a S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 smartphone with a slider form factor. It features an aluminium casing / body and a five megapixel camera with Carl-Zeiss optics. It's one of the best examples of how the division between smartphone and feature phones has become increasingly blurred. This should be considered at lower end of the mid tier (or the upper end of the low tier) - a distinction which depends on the market you are looking at.
In this special edition of the AAS Insight Rafe, Steve and Ewan talk through the announcement of the Nokia N8.
Rafe, Ewana and Steve discuss the X5 and C5-01, Nokia's Q10 2010 results, 25 million Ovi Store downloads and much more.
The All About Symbian team discuss the C6 and E5, Sony Ericsson results, Sports Tracker and more.
Rafe and Ewan talk about the week's news in the Symbian world. Including Comes with Musics launch in China, Ovi Maps on the E71 and Nokia acquisition of MetaCarta.
Ewan's back with a bang as the team round up the weeks news and get the low down on the 5230 and Vivaz
