A bespoke Civilization title for N-Gage developed by Gryphondale Studios in collaboration with Kenjitsu LLC and Nikitova LLC, blending the rules of Civilization II and Civilization III into a single-player turn-based strategy game spanning 21 civilisations, 51 unit types, 88 technology advances, and 28 Wonders of the World — all adapted for the device's portrait-format screen and phone-style keypad.
Released on 2 March 2006, Civilization was the last game officially released in the United States on the original N-Gage MMC format, arriving at the very end of the platform's commercial life. Notably, while the N-Gage famously championed wireless multiplayer as a key feature, Civilization shipped with no multiplayer mode whatsoever. The game was not a port of any existing Civ title — Gryphondale built it as a hybrid, combining the tech tree of Civ II with the ruleset of Civ III and scaling the interface for the small 176×208 screen. A combat racer called Payload was released later in 2006 in certain European territories, but Civilization holds the distinction of being the last MMC game to reach the US market.
