The second and final FIFA instalment on the N-Gage, again developed by Exient Entertainment, adding a 15-season Career mode, Challenge mode for replaying historical fixtures, and four-player Bluetooth co-op alongside the returning official licensing for over 350 club and international teams.
FIFA Football 2005 on N-Gage scored 79 on Metacritic — a notable improvement on its predecessor's 72 — with GameSpot awarding 8.2/10 and naming it runner-up in their 2004 Best N-Gage Game category, losing out to Colin McRae Rally 2005. Exient also produced the Gizmondo version of FIFA 2005 in the same period, underscoring their role as EA's go-to handheld studio. A physical copy is held in the Google Arts & Culture collection as an artefact of early 2000s mobile gaming. This was the final FIFA release on the original N-Gage platform; no further entries appeared before the service wound down.
