AAN Review Score ›
An arcade racing game developed by Finnish studio Bugbear Entertainment exclusively for the N-Gage, following a wealthy heir who joins an elite club of celebrity street racers across Milan, Paris, the Alps, and Monaco. Its branching story mode features fully voiced characters and an overhead camera angle chosen specifically to suit the N-Gage's narrow screen.
Glimmerati scored 82 on Metacritic, with GameSpot and IGN both awarding 8.1/10 and GameSpy giving 4.5/5 — making it one of the highest-rated original titles on the platform. Reviewers singled out the voice-acted story scenes as the game's highlight, describing the cast of eccentric rich characters as 'too campy to deny.' The overhead camera was a deliberate design decision by Bugbear to solve the visibility problems that had hampered every previous N-Gage racing game, where the device's tall portrait aspect ratio made tracking the road ahead in a behind-car view particularly difficult. Bugbear subsequently became best known for the FlatOut series and Wreckfest (2018), with Wreckfest 2 in development as of 2025.
