The only baseball game released for the N-Gage, developed by Montreal studio Hexacto Games and published by THQ Wireless with an official MLB licence covering all 30 teams and 2003 season rosters. Six modes are included: Quick Match, Spring Training, Full Season, Series, Home Run Derby, and All Star Game, plus a Dream Team mode with a $45,000 squad-building budget.
Hexacto Games was acquired by JAMDAT Mobile in May 2003 — the same year MLB Slam shipped — with JAMDAT integrating the Montreal team and its entire games catalogue. JAMDAT itself was subsequently acquired by Electronic Arts in December 2005 and folded into EA Mobile. The game used a catcher's-eye view behind the batter for pitching and hitting, switching to an overhead perspective once the ball was in play; fielding was largely automatic. Real-time stat synchronisation with real-world MLB injury data was marketed as a feature, meaning players injured in real life also became unavailable in-game during that season. The N-Gage version has no recorded Metacritic aggregate, reflecting the limited critical coverage afforded to baseball titles on the platform.
