A port of Crystal Dynamics' 1996 PlayStation platformer, adapted for N-Gage by UK studio Ideaworks3D using their proprietary Segundo3D engine. Players guide wizard Nikki and her companion Fargus through a fantasy medieval setting, running and jumping along curving pseudo-3D paths rendered with fully polygonal environments.
Pandemonium! was one of seven games available at the N-Gage's launch on 7 October 2003, alongside Tomb Raider and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater — all developed or ported by Ideaworks3D. The original PlayStation game had 18 levels; the N-Gage version was cut to 11. Ideaworks3D added two-player Bluetooth racing and N-Gage Arena shadow racing support that the original never had. Reception was mixed: GameSpot scored it 4.4/10, IGN gave 6.6/10, and GameRankings aggregated 59%. Critics acknowledged that the Segundo3D engine delivered impressive visuals for a handheld — described as "near PlayStation quality" — but felt the seven-year gap between the original release and the port made it difficult to recommend. Ideaworks3D went defunct in 2012.
