A 3D reimagining of Nokia's iconic Snake, developed by IOMO and released in January 2005 as a free download from Nokia's website — the only N-Gage game to be distributed at no charge. Players navigate a snake through 42 levels of maze-like environments built around the four classical elements, collecting power-ups and avoiding obstacles across both square and hexagonal grid layouts.

Snakes was positioned by Nokia as a showcase for the N-Gage platform's viral distribution potential: the complete game could be copied directly from one N-Gage to another over Bluetooth using a built-in 'Send game' function, mimicking the spread of a computer virus — a marketing conceit reflected in the game's promotional materials. The game earned a Metacritic score of 85/100, with IGN giving 8.7/10 and GameSpot 8.6/10, making it one of the better-reviewed titles on the platform. Producer Dan Scott of IOMO was interviewed about the game by All About N-Gage at launch. Beyond the N-Gage, the game was later made compatible with the Nokia N95 and select S60 devices including the E65. A sequel, Snakes Subsonic, was developed by Barking Lizards Technologies and released on 22 May 2008 for the second-generation N-Gage 2.0 platform.
