A port of the original Super Monkey Ball arcade and GameCube game, released as an N-Gage launch title in October 2003 and published by Sega. The game tasks players with tilting transparent ball-encased monkeys through elevated maze-like stages to reach the goal without falling off the edge, with three unlockable party minigames — Monkey Target, Monkey Race, and Monkey Fight.

The N-Gage port was developed by H.I.C. Co., Ltd. rather than Amusement Vision (the GameCube original's studio), making it a fresh build rather than a direct code port. Despite the loss of analogue stick control — critical to the GameCube experience — reviewers noted the d-pad adaptation worked better than expected, though the game's party minigames were restricted to CPU opponents with no wireless multiplayer. The Cutting Room Floor documents unused content in the N-Gage ROM. GameSpot scored it 6.3/10; MobyGames aggregated user scores around 55%. The concurrent GBA version (Super Monkey Ball Jr., developed by Realism and Creations) was generally considered the superior handheld release, scoring 82/100 on Metacritic. Amusement Vision, the series originator, was later absorbed into Sega's internal studios and eventually became Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.
