AAN Review Score ›
A first-person tactical shooter developed and published by Gameloft for the N-Gage in August 2004, in which players command a squad of US Army special forces — the Ghosts — through eight missions across Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, combating FARC and a related militia group threatening regional stability.
On consoles, Jungle Storm was a Red Storm/Ubisoft expansion to Ghost Recon Island Thunder; for the N-Gage, Gameloft built an independent version that preserved the franchise's team-tactics flavour while adapting controls and pacing to the hardware. The N-Gage iteration offered one of the platform's most substantial multiplayer packages: up to eight players via Bluetooth in Deathmatch, Defend, co-operative, and Survival modes. GameSpot named it the most broadly featured and enjoyable FPS yet released on the N-Gage, and it finished as runner-up in the outlet's Best N-Gage Game of 2004 award, narrowly losing to Colin McRae Rally 2005. It was the second Tom Clancy N-Gage game from Gameloft, following Splinter Cell: Team Stealth Action the previous Christmas.
