A fully 3D stealth-action game developed by Gameloft for the N-Gage, released in March 2005, following NSA operative Sam Fisher through ten missions across South-East Asia and the Americas as he dismantles an information-warfare conspiracy threatening to ignite a global conflict.

Chaos Theory was Gameloft's second Splinter Cell for the N-Gage and a substantial step beyond Team Stealth Action — switching from the earlier game's 2D side-scrolling format to the same full 3D engine Gameloft had used for Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm. Original level designs were created specifically for the N-Gage (and Nintendo DS) rather than porting console content directly. Gadgets included an optic cable for peeking under doors. Multiplayer extended to four players via Bluetooth in versus mode and two players in co-operative infiltration missions, with rankings posted to the N-Gage Arena. The game launched simultaneously with the console versions in late March / early April 2005 across North America and Europe. Contemporary critics rated it among the best games on the platform.
