Adaptation of Sega's arcade classic using Fathammer's X-Forge engine. D-pad controls proved surprisingly intuitive. Bluetooth multiplayer and N-Gage Arena online support with score reporting and rankings.
Beta v1.0.5.27a leaked online in 2004 and remains accessible via archives. Producer Jerome Markota discussed multiplayer and Arena plans. Despite advanced state, quietly cancelled. Control scheme adaptation was a notable design challenge that was well-solved.

Original All About N-Gage Description
From the information we have (28th August 2004) it appears that Virtua Cop has been removed from the upcoming N-Gage MMC Games List and been resceduled for late Q1 2005. We can only assume it has been cancelled due to quality/testing issues, and it wouldn't surprise us if it was cancelled in the future.

One month ago, a veteran detective in the Virtua City Police Department uncovered an illegal gun running operation that was taking place in the middle of the city bu a powerful crime syndicate. A special task force was formed and you were called for the job. It comes down to : you're a cop stalking the gun runners in the most scumbag infested districts of the city. It's an all out war between the syndicate and the law.
Grab your gun and ammo to dispense some justice on these mean strets. Clean out the docks and the warehouses of armed smugglers, clear office buildings of scum. Pick snipers off distant buildings and dodge axe wielding maniacs as they charge at you from out of nowhere.
