Gameplay - Bejeweled Twist replaces the normal game's rather dull swapping mechanism with something much more interesting, you can rotate tiles in a circle, which allows tiles to be moved right across the board if required. There is also a large number of unusual tiles which spice up the gameplay including timebombs and various other hazards, and matching large lines allows bonus gems to be created. There are four game modes: Classic (the main mode), Zen (where you can't lose), Challenge (where the screens are more difficult to deal with) and Blitz (where you have to score as many points as possible before a timer runs out).

Graphics - The normal Bejeweled gems have been joined by some nice animated elements and sequences. The whole game looks very nice with slick animations, clear menus that are easy to navigate, and starfield effects that take you between levels.

Sound - Lots of catchy MIDI tunes during the game which change as you progress to higher levels.

Multiplayer & Online - None.

Overall - This is a much, much better game than ordinary Bejeweled. The twisting element makes it genuinely more fun to play as it allows for more strategy and interaction (for example racing to move tiles across the board as a timebomb counts down). The graphics are much better, there's an excellent soundtrack accompanying the gameplay, there is a much greater variety of bonuses and dangers, and more playing modes too. All in all a great improvement.
