Phone Used For Review - Nokia 5800 XpressMusic (games may be different on different phone models)
Gameplay - At first glance you might think this is another Puzzle Bobble clone, but despite some similarities it's actually quite different: the bubbles move about realistically and multiply dynamically, there are bonus levels and bonus items, smaller bubbles may need to be grown before they can be popped, and end-of-level boss creatures also put in an appearance.
Graphics - Pulsating pastel bubbles and backgrounds are made with smoothly animated graphics, and there's also a touch of 3D on the level selection screen's island. Bubble Popper Deluxe looks slick without trying to show off.
Sound - A lovely soundtrack with breezy catchy tunes on the menus and in the game itself.
Multiplayer & Online - None.
Overall - Bubble Popper Deluxe is a well-made evolution of the Puzzle Bobble concept, with the gameplay changed into something a bit more organic and frantic. The graphics have a living feel to them, and the music is smooth and relaxed. There are 64 levels to work through in the game, with bosses, bonus items and bonus levels to spice things up. All in all this is a good title which is recommended.
